Aplikace Linkra archivuje webové zdroje ve vědeckých a odborných textech a generuje citace s linky do archivu. Nabízí tak řešení fenoménu linkrot – vyhnívání, zániku odkazovaných webových zdrojů v akademických pracích. Aplikace umožňuje uložení citovaných zdrojů do webového archivu, získání archivních URL adres a vytvoření citačního záznamu pomocí interního generátoru citací.
Aplikace je vyvíjena v rámci institucionálního výzkumu jako open source nástroj. Předcházel jí výzkum zaměřený na zanikající webový obsah a na možnosti citování webových zdrojů a jejich archivních verzí. Článek O mrtvých webových zdrojích. Text zahrnuje přehlednou komparaci existujících zahraničních citačně-archivačních služeb jak z pohledu uživatele, tak webového archivu a nabízí doporučení badatelům, jak ohrožený citovaný obsah co nejlépe ochránit.
Kromě uchovávání citovaných zdrojů je součástí výzkumného záměru podněcování badatelů k začleňování archivních kopií do akademické citační praxe v souladu s normou ISO 690, která doporučuje archivní verze v citačních záznamech zmiňovat. Aplikace Linkra cílí na potřeby akademické obce a umožňuje webovým archivům a paměťovým institucím rozšíření akvizičních strategií a obohacení fondu webových zdrojů.

The Linkra application archives web resources in scientific and professional texts and generates citations with links to the archive. It thus offers a solution to the phenomenon of linkrot – the decay and disappearance of referenced web resources in academic works. The application allows you to save cited sources to a web archive, obtain archived URL addresses, and create citation records using an internal citation generator.
The application is being developed as part of institutional research as an open source tool. It was preceded by research focused on disappearing web content and the possibilities of citing web resources and their archived versions. The article On Dead Web Resources. How to Identify and Track Defunct Web Content focused on the methodological definition of the term "dead web," research into the disappearance of web resources cited in scientific and academic works, and the possibilities for their preservation and protection. Research summarizing Czech and foreign findings in the field of citing web resources and their preservation is summarized in the study Archiving Web Resources in Citations in Scientific and Professional Texts. The text includes a clear comparison of existing foreign citation archiving services from the perspective of both the user and the web archive and offers recommendations to researchers on how to best protect endangered cited content.
In addition to preserving cited sources, the research project aims to encourage researchers to incorporate archival copies into academic citation practices in accordance with ISO 690, which recommends mentioning archival versions in citation records. The Linkra application targets the needs of the academic community and enables web archives and memory institutions to expand their acquisition strategies and enrich their web resource collections.
