Is Windows Search enabled on your computer? The Command Palette relies on it to quickly locate files and won't be able to display results without it.

If that's not the issue, could you generate a bug report package from the PowerToys Settings under the General tab and attach it here?

Of course, that's why Powertoys Run and even search from Windows taskbar is able to search files I suppose.

I clicked "Generate bug report package" and it started displaying a spinnor that's keep spinning for 5 minutes. Is there any alternative way to get "logs"?

I second this. I found that when searching for files the Windows Search (mainly use it via the Start Menu + just typing what I look for) shows the intended files correctly, while the same search in the Command Palette file search does not result in appropriate results.
