What makes it 'better'?

Fork diff is pretty simple, but accurate.

How is highlighting "better" in the case below?

• Why is now := emphasized? It looks like it was simply removed. What do emphasized parts mean?
• Why is if emphasized? It looks like it was not modified (syntactically nor semantically).
• Why .After(item.ExpiresAt) { is emphasized? It wasn't modified.

The next example.

• Deleted 'summary' part is emphasized, but it wasn't modified.
• Added 'summary' part is not emphasized.
• Added 'If' block is emphasized.
• Added { is emphasized, but } is not.

Does it just highlight random things?
Why exactly is it better?

Just as an example here is diff I just saw in Fork. It gets very confused about nested css/tailwind and in general only colors super basic things.

1. Now you show completely different app, which slightly contradicts the title because it's different diff algorithm (myers in git vs custom diff in vscode). The hunks are different. It's not a "different diff renderer," it's a completely different diff algorithm.

Try to switch the default git algorithm to patience: git config --global diff.algorithm patience and compare the results again.

2. Returning to the topic. Again, what makes rendering better? I honestly struggle to understand the highlighting logic on your screenshot. What does it emphasize? Say, why }> and } emphasized? How does that info help the user?

It shows that the } was moved because there is now .text} there, I guess it's personal preference? I guess another bonus of having something Pierre diffs integrated would be that people can have their own themes/settings for it as well?
