Feature Request: Add support for Unifi Cable Internet

Hi! I'm loving what I'm seeing so far in this project!

Similar to your support of the U-LTE or U5G-Max support you already have, would it be possible to add support and status monitoring for the Unifi Cable Internet please? I don't know if that information is even available under the hood.

Unifi had promised years ago to add visibility into what it's doing, but never delivered, so I'm hoping that you might be able to fill that need.

I'd LOVE to do this and it makes me just want to keep my DOCSIS connection as backup once the PON is lit here just so I can continue to develop it.

Would you be able to SSH in and interrogate it for me? I can give some guidance, but I have zero idea what stack the UniFi CM is running.

Awesome idea, thanks for sharing. I'll be adding support for multiple CM types, but this will be one of the key ones.

Sorry for the delay, I investigated a little, but forgot to actually reply...

Something very weird is going on between my UDM and the CM. The CM doesn't seem to have an IP registered in the UDM (either in the UI device interface or in the UDM's routing table). The closest thing I found was an ipv6 link-local address that the CM didn't respond to ping or ssh attempts on. The usual 192.168.100.1 didn't work either.

My guess is that this is either the ultimate in pass-through mode, or there are weird protocol shenanigans afoot between the UDM and CM. Or I missed something (always an option).

Good to know. This may require some deep digging, possibly watching for connections or routes on the gateway that aren't otherwise known. There may be NAT/routing rules hidden from the UniFi Network UI that reveal how it's communicating with it as well. Then, it'll be a matter of finding out if it's just got an unauthenticated status/stats endpoint(s) or if we've gotta do some reverse engineering.
